Think of astrology as a traffic report your day to day life. When you are warned of a huge back up you know to take another route. First let’s look at the Moon Void of Course. Knowing when these periods are can really help you avoid all kinds of mayhem and headaches. I tell all my friends that it’s one of the single most important bits of astrology that you can know about.
The void period can last a few minutes or a couple of days. Think of it as a black hole. Things you initiate during a void time will not amount to much, or else you’ll have to spend an inordinate amount of time seeing them through. You wouldn’t want to buy anything during this time, especially if it’s expensive. It will just sit in the closet or on the shelf and won’t fulfill your expectations. Don’t sign important documents, pitch a big client or go on a job interview. It would be like it never happened. On the plus side, any bad news you hear about won’t necessarily be all that bad. And if you are dreading a meeting or phone call or an obligatory first date with the creepy guy your aunt is trying to set you up with, go for it…nothing much will come of it. Best to use the time to nap, meditate, or do mundane chores. It’s also great for breaking bad habits!
I could go on and on with experiences I’ve had with the Moon Void of Course times. Better you should read about it at Astroprofile. They very conveniently post the tables for the whole year. Print them out and keep them near your calendar. Also check out Debbi Kempton Smith’s great site. She has a really good explanation of the void periods as well as some tables. Her book Secrets From a Stargazer’s Notebook is a classic and has all the void charts.
Other websites I visit frequently are D.K. Brainard’s excellent Words for the People — get the Premium edition, it’s worth every penny! And Susan Miller’s easy to read monthly forecasts at Astrology Zone. Consult those for your weekly and monthly horoscopes.
